What is the Eisenhower Matrix

The Eisenhower Matrix is task management and prioritisation framework created by former US President Dwight Eisenhower. It is based on the idea of sorting tasks into 4 categories, based on their urgency and importance.

You just need to determine if the task is "Important" or "Not Important" and “Urgent” or “Not Urgent". Based on this information, the matrix will instruct you to either “Do Now,” “Schedule,” “Delegate” or “Eliminate” the task.

The 4 categories of action are determined as follows:

1. Urgent + Important = Do Now
2. Not Urgent + Important = Schedule
3. Urgent + Not Important = Delegate
4. Not Urgent + Not Important = Eliminate
